Detail about Sapele plywood
Sapele is a deep pinkish brown to a deeper rusty brown. It is a medium density African hardwood commonly used as a substitute for South American mahogany. The wood is easy to work and strong, with a smooth grain, tight and even grain and consistent colour.
Features:
-Sapele is brown-red in color
-Veneer has a fine grain that is interlocked and sometimes wavy
-Lustrous appearance, varied texture
-The density resists denting well
-Very stiff and resistant to shock loads, with good bending strength
